"The University – Local Police – Landlords strengthen the cooperation in managing off-campus students"

In the morning of April 10, at the meeting hall A of Tay Do University, the meeting in strengthening the managing off-campus students of the University, Local Police and landlord was held with the participation of the Board of Management of Tay Do University, and police officers from Cai Rang District, Le Binh and Thuong Thanh wards, representatives of landlords and off-campus students.

Currently, the number of students of Tay Do University is increasing up to 6,753, that needs to have good attention and coordination to manage these off-campus students, in which Le Binh Ward has the largest number of 1,820 students, Thuong Thanh has 1,234 students, An Binh has 291 students, Hung Loi has 606 students, the remaining are scattering at the other wards in Cantho City.

In the recent years, Tay Do University has always cooperated with the local authorities and signed an agreement with the landlords to monitor and support off-campus students with healthy living as well as to encourage the students in participating and developing their capacity in building cultural life, order and discipline, preventing crimes and social bad habits in residential living areas.

In 2017, Tay Do University continues signing agreements with the landlords to strengthen the cooperation between the two parties. The landlords provide the information including address, prices and facilities of the accommodation so that the university can give advice to the students in making their choices.

At the same time, building up boarding-houses with rules and securities, camera and regular checks on fire prevention and keeping in touch with the police for timely treating issues, ensuring the safety of students throughout their studying courses are considered. The landlords are committed to price stability, no prices increase during peak occasions.
