Introduction to Vietnamese Studies

The Vietnamese Studies major at Tay Do University is designed to provide students with comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of Vietnamese culture, history, geography, language, and society. This program is suitable for those passionate about exploring and researching the cultural and historical values of the country, as well as applying this knowledge in various professional fields.

1. Training Program Objectives

Equip solid professional knowledge in Vietnamese Studies, including history, culture, customs, literature, and the Vietnamese language.

Develop research, analysis, and practical application skills in areas such as tourism, education, media, and international cooperation.

Create a foundation for students to continue on to higher levels of study or participate in research projects related to Vietnamese Studies.

2. Curriculum

Basic knowledge: Provide general education courses such as Vietnamese History, Vietnamese Culture, Vietnamese Geography,…

Specialized knowledge: Cultural tourism, Cultural heritage management, Vietnamese culture in Southeast Asia, event organization, communication, journalism, tourism

Practice and application: Students participate in field trips to historical sites, scenic spots, and local cultural establishments.

3. Career Opportunities

After graduation, Vietnamese Studies students can work in many fields such as:

Tour guide: Working at tourism companies, travel agencies, or self-employment in the tourism sector.

Teaching and research: Working as a teacher or research specialist at research institutes, schools, or cultural organizations.

Media and journalism: Working as a reporter, editor specializing in cultural and social fields, or consulting on content related to Vietnam.
