Introduction

- The Chemistry training program (Pharmaceutical Chemistry major) will equip students with knowledge ranging from basic to advanced, and basic practical skills related to Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Chemistry so they can work in the pharmaceutical industry and other related industries.

- Students majoring in Chemistry (Pharmaceutical Chemistry specialization) are exposed to foundational knowledge in the fields of Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biology, and Biochemistry; in-depth knowledge of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology; the processes of discovering, screening, and synthesizing pharmaceuticals; methods of extracting and isolating bioactive natural compounds; practical skills in the laboratory; analytical skills using modern analytical equipment such as gas chromatography, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, infrared spectroscopy, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy,... applied in pharmaceutical and cosmetic analysis and quality control. Graduates of Chemistry (Pharmaceutical Chemistry specialization) are fully equipped with the knowledge and capacity to work or continue studying for master's and doctoral programs locally and internationally in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and related fields.
