General Introduction

The Construction Department was established in 2006 under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology - Tay Do University. Over 19 years of establishment, the Department has grown stronger and stronger, training many construction engineers with solid professional knowledge and high quality to meet social needs.

The Department currently has 01 PhD, 01 PhD candidate, and 05 Masters. In addition, the Department also invites reputable lecturers from universities and outside construction companies with high professional qualifications to work with the department to successfully complete training tasks.

All lecturers in the department have many years of practical experience in construction activities outside society.

Teaching Methodology:

With the motto of taking students as the center, quality as the core, and employment as the goal, the department always updates practical knowledge and teaching methods to suit construction activities outside society, combining theory and practice. Students after graduation are solid in theory, good in practice, and at the same time confident in their work.

Teaching activities of the department:

In addition to teaching theory in class, the department highly emphasizes practical experience such as:

Experimenting with subjects in the laboratory and on the field

Topographic survey practice, geological survey drilling on site

Implementing design projects: Architecture, concrete structures, steel structures, building foundations, construction.

Performing thematic topics: Engineering experiments, Cement concrete technology; visiting actual construction sites; visiting production of components, building materials, etc.

Performing graduation projects to help students synthesize all learned knowledge to practice designing a specific project in reality before graduation.

In the past 19 years, the Department has trained many graduated students who have participated in many projects and works in Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta provinces such as project management, design, construction, supervision, state management in construction ... which are highly appreciated by society.

To exchange expertise and practical application in construction, lecturers in the Department directly participate in construction activities outside such as: Project management, design, consulting, supervision, and construction. Some projects that Department lecturers participate in include:
