"FINANCE AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT"

INTRODUCTION

The Finance and Planning Department was established under Decision No. 02/2006/QD-DHTD dated March 19, 2006. Currently, the Department consists of 7 staff members, including 1 Department Head, 1 Deputy Department Head, 4 accounting specialists, and 1 treasurer. Through the collective efforts of each individual, the Department has successfully fulfilled its functions and tasks.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Counseling the Board of Directors and Board of Rectors to effectively employ financial resources, carry out accounting tasks, reckon, declare, and finalize taxes according to the following regulations:

  • Contributing to the establishment, modification, and supplementation of regulations on finance and property management of the University.
  • Encouraging and collecting correct and sufficient tuition fees, student receipts and expenses, receipts from the University's units, and other sources of income such as fees for scientific research services, technology transfer, canteen services, and parking fees.
  • Disbursing salaries and allowances to officials, contract employees, scholarships, and benefits to students, as well as other expenses related to learning, teaching, research, building maintenance, repairs, and equipment purchases for the University.
  • Organizing, rotating, and managing documents in accordance with the law. Compiling records, tax reports, accounting reports, statistical reports for government agencies, and administrative accounting reports for internal use.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE AND ACHIEVEMENTS

Over the past 18 years, the Department of Planning and Finance has achieved the following milestones: earning the titles of "progressive working unit" (2008-2023) and "typical working unit" (2006-2010); receiving certificates of merit as an "excellent working unit" (2013-2023) from the Chairman of the Can Tho People’s Committee.

DEVELOPMENT ORIENTATION

  • Continuing to promote achievements gained, striving to become one of the best units of Tay Do University with the motto “good consultancy, good service”.
  • Counselling the Board of Directors and Board of Rectors to modify and complement financial regulations to suit each development period of the University.
  • Developing the staff according to the direction facilitating experts to learn and improve their professional knowledge and competence. Promoting computerization and information exchange for working.
